Inauguration Ceremony of the Directors for the year 2013-2014

The Lok Sin Tong Benevolent Society, Kowloon

(Hong Kong – 21 May 2013) The Inauguration Ceremony of the Directors for the year 2013-2014was held today (May 21) at The Mira Hong Kong. Mr. TSANG Tak Sing, GBS, JP , Secretary for Home Affairs, officiated at the ceremony.  

More than 500 guests, include our Board of Directors (please see attachment), Honorary Advisers, Honorary Directors, many chief government officials and celebrities, joined our ceremony, including Mr. TSANG Tak Sing, GBS, JP , Secretary for Home Affairs, Mr. YEUNG Yun Hung, Kevin ,Under Secretary for Education,Mr. SIN Yat Kin, CSDSM, Commissioner of Correctional Services, Mr. LAU Wai-wing, JP,Chairman of the Kowloon City District Council, Mr. TSUI Yiu Leung, William, JP, District Officer (Kowloon City),Ms. WONG Yin Yee, District Social Welfare Officer (Kowloon City/Yau Tsim Mong), Mr. He Jing, Director-General of Kowloon Sub-office of the Liaison Office of the Central People’s Government in the HKSAR, Mr. SIU Chak Yee, District Commander (Kowloon City), Dr. WONG Wang, Christine, Head (Tobacco Control Office), Mr. HUI Wai Kwong, Sam, Chief Staff Officer, Auxiliary Medical Service and Dr. Ma Ching Hing, Commissioner ,Hong Kong St. John Ambulance Brigade etc.

Presenting at the inauguration ceremony, our Chairman, Dr. Hon Sei-hoe, Johnny announced that Lok Sin Tong plans to extend the existing “Social services supporting centre for ethnic minorities” and provide the meal delivery to the elderly and community support services to the residents in the Kai Tak Development Region Area. Also, Dr. Hon is pleased to announce that with the support of the different government & corporate, Lok Sin Tong is going to initial many new social services, including social-enterprises for providing meal delivery services, elderly home, Social services supporting centre for ethnic minorities, food bank & pilot scheme on community care service voucher for elders to meet different need of the Hong Kong residents.
