About the Program

The school-based program, funded by Beat Drugs Funds, consists of a series of health education activities and school drug testing schemes. This program, with the theme "Explore potential and self enhancement," offers a wide range of opportunities for students to engage in various activities that help them understand themselves and discover their potential. The aim is to enhance adolescents' resilience, regulate their emotions and encourage them to face challenges positively. At the same time, the program reinforces the importance of rejecting the temptation of drugs and fostering a healthy and positive attitude towards life.

 

2024-27 Highlight of the program

  1. Preventive Education: Anti-drug talks, exhibition, visits to Drug Info Centre, etc.
  2. Personal Development: Leadership training activities, tailor-made talks and workshops, growth camp, etc.
  3. Life Planning: Soci-game activities, mock DSE results releasing day activities, mock interviews, career experiencing activities, etc.
  4. Mental Health: Stress-relief workshops, experiential stress-relief activities, etc.
  5. Interest Development: Skill developing courses, experiential interest class, etc.
  6. Recognition Activities: Rewarding ceremony, outdoor rewarding activities, etc.
  7. Parents Activities: Parents talks, parents day exhibition, family activities, parents workshop, etc.
  8. Teacher Support: Teacher stress-relief activities, teacher workshops, etc.
  9. School Drug Testing Scheme

 

Purpose of the School Drug Testing Scheme:

  1. To increase student’s understanding about their health condition
  2. To promote students’ self-awareness of health condition
  3. To enhance students’ knowledge about drugs and addiction behavior
  4. To strengthen young people’s resilience against drug abuse

 

Principles of Program:

  1. To keep personal information strictly confidential
  2. Voluntary participation
  3. To help students in their best interest
  4. To provide students with professional assessment and support services
