Visiting Medical Practitioner Service
The Lok Sin Tong Benevolent Society, Kowloon has been providing a wide range of primary medical services and outreach health promotion services for the general public. With the objective to improve the service quality of residential care homes, The LST was appointed by the Social Welfare Department to provide visiting medical practitioner services for residential care homes for elderly and persons with disabilities in Kowloon City and Yau Tsim Mong, so as to promote proactive management of seasonal influenza and other episodic illness for improvement of the general health of the residents.

Service Scope
- Regular outreach doctors visit
- Medical treatment of episodic illnesses with 3 days’ medication
- Regular health assessment and medical examination of the Service Users
- Provide assessment on personal care needs including the use of restraint, other rehabilitative or assistive advices regard to the health conditions of the Service Users
- Advising on health records of Service Users
- Provide telephone advice on the management of medical conditions of the Service Users
- Provide talk on health care and/or infection control

Residents of all private and self-financing Residential Care Homes for elderly and Persons with Disabilities in Kowloon City District and Yau Tsim Mong District
