To ease the burden and challenges from ageing population and the prevalence of chronic diseases, The Lok Sin Tong Benevolent Society, Kowloon established two community pharmacies in Kowloon City and Prince Edward since 2019, and aimed at strengthening primary care support in the community via a wide range of new community pharmacy services in a non-profit business model.

 

To ease the burden and strengthen primary healthcare at the community level, The Hong Kong Jockey Club Charities Trust has initiated and funded the Jockey Club PHARM+ Community Medication Service Network (the “Project”) for a period of five years. The Lok Sin Tong Benevolent Society, Kowloon, as one of the Project’s collaborative partners, established PHARM+ Lok Sin Tong Community Pharmacy at Tai Po.

 

PHARM+ Lok Sin Tong Community Pharmacy provides accessible and affordable dispensing services. Services commenced in May this year, providing medication consultation, advice on chronic diseases and minor ailments, and promote health literacy and safe use of medication.

 

The pharmacy is also next to “Lok Sin Tong Cheng Wan Man Wai Medical Centre”, providing convenient one-stop and comprehensive primary healthcare services for the public.
