Lok Sin Tong expresses its deepest concern regarding the fire incident of Wang Fuk Court, Tai Po, on 26 November 2025 and has immediately deployed the following support services via Lok Sin Tong Caring Fund for the persons affected by the incident:
1. Temporary accommodation at the Tai Po "Lok Sin Village" transitional housing
For residents requiring temporary shelter, Lok Sin Tong has arranged support through Lok Sin Village. With consensus from the Housing Department, units are available exclusively by government referral.

Relief Efforts Update (as of January 9, 2026)
Lok Sin Tong's transitional housing facility in Tai Po—Lok Sin Village—continues to serve 88 households from Wang Fuk Court, Tai Po, providing comprehensive support including accommodation, material assistance, and counselling services.
The Lok Sin Tong Caring Fund has provided emergency financial assistance to affected households and funeral aid to bereaved families, whilst extending care and support to help them navigate this challenging period.
> Emergency Financial Aid: Processed assistance for 1,896 households
> Funeral Assistance: Provided support to 151 bereaved families
Lok Sin Tong is collaborating with the Social Welfare Department's "one social worker per household" service to ensure ongoing financial assistance reaches all affected residents.
Our healthcare units—including "PHARM+ Lok Sin Tong Community Pharmacy", “Lok Sin Tong Cheng Wan Man Wai Medical Centre”, “Lok Sin Tong Lee Sy Ang Long Chinese Medicine Clinic” continue to provide comprehensive medical support services including pharmaceutical assistance, mobile medical clinics, and Chinese medicine consultations. Total beneficiaries served: over 804 consultations.
Lok Sin Tong remains steadfastly committed to supporting the residents. We will closely monitor the situation and, where necessary, strengthen our support services to ensure residents can rebuild and recover with dignity.

During this period, Lok Sin Tong sincerely extends its gratitude to all donors, corporate partners, community organisations, volunteers and frontline colleagues for their selfless contributions and steadfast support. With their generous assistance, we were able to swiftly mobilise and procure emergency supplies, including sleeping bags, induction cookers, electric fans, chargers, daily necessities, clothing and foods, and promptly arrange for the affected residents to be rehoused in units at Lok Sin Village in Tai Po, helping them weather this hardship. We are committed to making the best use of every resource entrusted to us, ensuring that all donations are properly directed and used to their fullest effect, so that assistance can be provided to those in need in our community.
