Lok Sin Tong 140th Anniversary Cup

 (11th January 2020, Hong Kong) The Lok Sin Tong Benevolent Society, Kowloon (“Lok Sin Tong”) jointly organized The Lok Sin Tong 140th Anniversary Cup (“The Cup”) with The Hong Kong Jockey Club, was held today (11th January) at Sha Tin Racecourse. It was a 1650m race on All Weather Track course with Class 3 prize money scheduled as Race 8. BEAR SLAM became the champion among the 14 horses while RIGHTEOUS DOCTRINE and HOLY HEART won the 1st runner-up and 2nd runner-up respectively.

As a perpetual cup race of The Hong Kong Jockey Club, The Cup has been held for 19 years. Dr. YANG Xiao Ling, Chairlady of Lok Sin Tong, said in the speech that Lok Sin Tong launched Social Housing Scheme in recent years, providing assistance to inadequately housed low-income families, and making positive improvement on their family relationship, academic performance and economic situation.

Chairlady Yang added that poverty alleviation was important to be achieved. Lok Sin Tong would continue to provide quality services to the society with the support from governments, donors and our stakeholders.
